Beauty of Self-Publishing

So apparently I had to make a change to the barcode (ISBN) on the back cover of the book, and had to revise and re-upload the file to Lightning Source.  In the process, I decided to add some deco to the spine, in colorful accordance with the Law of Octaves of course- this book should should literally jump off the shelves now.  ;)  I'll be watching for my new proof copy early next week.  Print-on-Demand is the new wave of self-publishing.

Blogger

I've just created this new blog for updates on my upcoming children's book Journey of Oktavius.  I have recently uploaded my revised files to Lightning Source for printing.  The book will be available soon through my website: oktavius.org and amazon.com.

I will also be strongly encouraging people to order this book through your local, private owned bookstore.  Ordering online through large corporate stores is hurting local economies across the countries.

Please help support your local moms and pops!

The Story

Based on sacred geometry, the most universal language of all, a classic tale arises from the increasing complexity of personal development and relationships, not uncommon to a child who is set to venture out of the home, and into the great unknown of academia.

This is a fairy tale that exceeds mere grandiose fantasy, and attempts to display an objective morality in an interactive world where only attentive efforts and one’s own hard work can obtain the highest pinnacle.  Weaved craftily into this colorful story is the brilliant psychological model of Carl Jung, the wisdom of ancient Greece, the love of Christ, the serenity of Zen, and much more.

Bits and pieces of worldly philosophy in cosmic proportions are sprinkled about in a simple tale of a young seeker’s journey to find an answer to the mystery of life.  This is a story for those who dare to dream big.
